On Thursday January 28th, The Blacksmiths Loft hosted its latest tasting menu.

Diners enjoyed 8 courses of nostalgic British classics, featuring, to name a few, a mad hatters duck tea party to share, a fillet of beef scotch quail egg (with our very own HP sauce!), lamb wellington and a good old jammie wagon wheel to finish.

A selection of specially paired wines were also available on the evening, to enjoy whilst diners revelled in the fantastic flavours and creative combinations and techniques.

Head Chef Chris Parry said “for the kitchen team tasting menus are a fantastic opportunity to showcase the new techniques and flavour combinations we are always working on, whilst working with exciting ingredients. We had some brilliant feedback on the evening from our guests, and we are already busy working on our next tasting menus”

Our next Tasting Evenings are on Thursday 18th February, a 5 course Italian themed evening, £35 per person, and Thursday 25th February, an 8 course “around the world” menu, tasting classic dishes from each continent.
